A market with more than 700 years of history. The earliest remnants of the market are believed to date back to the Islamic era, as Sineu stood out as an important agricultural area, and the market was a center for a weekly gathering of what the Arabs called "Suq al-arba'a.". This turned Sineu into a thriving town, where merchants, traders.

It is not a particularly large town, nor is it home to landmarks of any great repute, however, having spent the best part of my Wednesday there, I would certainly recommend the town to anyone looking for a relaxed day soaking up a little corner of real Mallorca. Sineu is, in fact, quite easy to reach by road turning off the Ma-13 from the north.
